Only some shortwave radiation from the sun reaches earth's surface. what is the leading cause of this radiation loss?

    Reflection by the clouds stops most of the radiation from reaching the earth's surface. This is a benefit, because too much radiation could lead to too much heating of the Earth's surface, which could exacerbate already increasing temperatures. In addition, this could have unintended consequences like an increased water-cycle rate, making the precipitation found in some areas even higher than it already is.
