Traveling in a straight line, the car slows down uniformly from 28 m/s, taking 3.5 s to come to as stop. what is the car's average acceleration during the 3.5 s?

How far does the car travel during the 3.5 s it take to stop?

    Part 1. Take the velocity 28 m/s divided by 3.5 s to come to the answer of 7.37 (keep in mind this value is positive because it's accelerating in the opposite direction and decreasing speed not decreasing the acceleration it self).

    Part 2. Distance equals speed times time so 28 multiplied by 3.5 would equal 98 Meters.
