Suppose you increase your walking speed from 5 m/s to 12 m/s in a period of 2 s. what is your acceleration?

    V1 = 5

    v2 = 12

    t = 2s

    a = (v2-v1) / t

    = (12-5) / 2

    =7/2

    = 3.5

    3.5 per second because 3.5 * 2 = 7 and 7+5 = 12
