    -330 N.

    Explanation:

    Force is defined as the mass and the acceleration of a body.

    The formula of force is given as,

    F = m (v-u) / t ... Equation 1.

    Where m = mass of the football, u = initial velocity of the football, v = final velocity of the football, t = time.

    Given: m = 0.9 kg, u = 22.0 m/s, v = 0 m/s (brought it to rest), t = 0.06 seconds.

    Substitute into equation 1,

    F = 0.9 (0-22) / 0.06

    F = 0.9 (-22/0.06)

    F = - 330 N.

    F = - 330 N.

    Note: The force is negative because it acts against the the receiver.
