Donny is a wide reciever on the football team and he is practicing his routes. Coach keeps telling him that he needs to accelerate through the catch. Donny's precatch speed is 9 m/s and he is in the act of catching the ball for 1.1 seconds. Donny is capable of an accelerating at 2.6 m/s2. What is the final speed that Donny's coach should expect?

    He accelerates at 2.6 m/s^2 for 1.1 seconds, thus over that time his speed increases by 2.6*1.1=2.86m/s. His final speed will thus be 9+2.86=11.86 m/s
