A boy is sledding down a hill and has an initial speed of + 12 m/s. He continues to speed up and reaches a final velocity of + 18m/s after traveling for 12 seconds what distance does the boy travel?

    V = Final velocity = 18

    U = Initial Velocity = 12

    a = Acceleration = (18-12) / 12 = 6/12 = 0.5

    d = ?

    V² = U² + 2ad

    18² = 12² + 2*0.5*d

    324 = 144 + d

    d = 324 - 144

    d = 180m
