If the speedometer on a car indicates a constant speed can you be sure the car is not acclerating

    No, you cannot be sure.

    'Acceleration' is any change in the speed or direction of motion.

    If the car is driving around a curve and the speedometer indicates

    a constant speed, it's still accelerating, because its direction is

    constantly changing as long as it's on the curve.
