    The answer to your question is below

    Explanation:

    Data

    F = 3.3 N

    m = 16.6 kg

    t = 0.54 s

    a)

    vf = ? m/s

    vo = 0 m/s

    Process

    1. - Calculate the acceleration of the body

    F = ma

    solve for a

    a = F/m

    a = 3.3/16.6

    a = 0.198 m/s²

    2. - Calculate the vf

    a = (vf - vo) / t

    solve for vf

    vf = at + vo

    vf = (0.198) (0.54) + 0

    vf = 0.11 m/s

    b)

    The acceleration will be the same

    vf = (0.198) (0.54) - 1.27

    vf = 0.11 - 1,27

    vf = - 1.16 m/s to the left
