Does a white surface absorb every color of light?

    No, black does white absorbs light but not all colors

    Just the opposite. A surface that absorbs all colors appears black.

    If something appears white, then it absorbs NO light. Every wavelength

    that hits it bounces off of it, and proceeds to your eye.
