If one were driving a car with a velocity of - 30 km/h, that would mean that: they were driving at 30 km/h but in the reverse gear they were driving to the west or south (a predetermined negative) they were traveling back in time velocity cannot be negativ

    Velocity is a vector quantity, if we put minus sign in front of it, it means the object is travelling in opposite direction, it doesn't mean that its travelling back in time.
