two 3.0 kg bullets are fired with speeds of 40 m/s and 80 m/s, respectivley. what are their kinetic energies

    KE = 1/2mv^2

    m = mass of object

    v = velocity (speed of object)

    40m/s bullet:

    3 x 40 = 120

    120 x 1/2 = 60

    Kinetic Energy of 40m/s bullet: 60J

    80m/s bullet:

    3 x 80 = 240

    240 x 1/2 = 120

    Kinetic Energy of 80m/s bullet: 120J
