When you make a cell phone call, which type of electromagnetic wave is most likely transmitting the signal

    It must be radio waves. That's the only electromagnetic wave

    the cell towers are equipped to receive and process.

    Your phone can pour out all the modulated heat, light or

    X-rays it wants to, but the call will never connect, because

    there is no cellular network operating at those wavelengths.
