How do you solve for b?

    There are different ways to do it.

    Here's one:

    A = 1/2 h (b + c)

    Multiply each side y 2 : 2A = h (b + c)

    Divide each side by h : 2A/h = b + c

    Subtract 'c' from each side: 2A/h - c = b
