How many mitochondria dos an average human muscle contain?

There are really no average muscle cells because there is such a diversity in muscle cell types within an individual muscle, diversity in muscle cell types between different muscles in an individual and diversity in muscle cell types between individuals. And there are differences in mitochondria within single muscle cells.
