    The ocean liner

    Explanation:

    Given that,

The mass of the bullet, m = 0.0014 Kg

    The velocity of the bullet, v = 396 m/s

    The mass of the ocean liner, M = 7.1 x 10⁷ Kg

The velocity of the ocean liner, V = 13 m/s

The kinetic energy is given by the formula,

    K. E = 1/2 mv²

    1) The kinetic energy of the bullet,

    K. E = 1/2 x 0.0014 x 396²

    = 109.775 J

    2) The kinetic energy of the ocean liner,

    K. E = 1/2 x 7.1 x 10⁷ x 13²

    = 6 x 10⁹ J

Hence, the ocean liner has more kinetic energy.
