Time period of a pendulum is given by the formula, T = 2pi * sqrt (l/g)

    So if the length is increased by 44% i. e l’ = 1.44l

    The new time period, T’=2pi * sqrt (1.44l/g) = 2pi * 1.2 * sqrt (l/g)

So the new time period is 1.2 times of the old one or you can say it increased by 20%.
