by Newton's laws, it can create 2 things.
Acceleration: by the second Newton law; we have that F = m*a
where F is force, m is mass of the object and a is the acceleration of the object, so when you held a force in an object, you are accelerating the object.
By the third law, when you apply a force in an object, the object is applying a force equal in magnitude and in the opposite direction on you, so when you held a force against an object, the object "creates" another force.
