If steel is more dense then water then why does a warship made of steel float

    I don't think you need to be in Physics to know the simple answer is buoyancy and do some research on it ...

    Although the steel is much more dense and will sink in the ocean, there air in the ship which is less dense than water, when air is in water it tends to float up.

    The air inside the warship is less dense than the water.
