A stone falls 36.0m (120ft).

    Final velocity (V) = ?

    Acceleration (g) = 9.81 m/s^2

    Distance (d) = 36 m

    Time (t) = ?

    For the first part:

    d = v*t+0.5*a*t^2 = 0.5*a*t^2 = 4.9*t^2 = 36

    Solve for t: t = 2.7 sec

    For the second part:

    V^2 = v^2+2*a*d = 2*a*d = 2*9.81*36 = 706.32

    Square root for V: V = 26.6 m/s
