    C. the basketball has more kinetic energy

    Explanation:

since the basketball roll across the classroom, it has angular momentum which means that the basket ball has kinetic energy not only because of the translation, but also from the rotation. whereas, the kinetic energy of block ice is only due to the translation, because the cube ice does not have angular motion. that's why the kinetic energy of basket ball is higher than the cube ice.
