A 28.6-kg sled is being pulled across a horizontal surface at a constant velocity. The pulling force has a magnitude of 77.3 N and is directed at an angle of 24 ° above the horizontal. Determine the coefficient of kinetic friction.

    Coefficient of kinetic friction = frictional force / Normal reaction

    normal reaction = mgcosA

    m = mass=28.6kg

    g = 9.8m/s and A is angle 24°

    Normy reaction = 28.6*9.8cos24=256N

    Frictional force = 77.3N

    Coefficient of kinetic friction = 77.3/256=0.3
