For the chemical reaction, the chemical energy of reactant is greater than the chemical energy of the products.

    Explanation

Every chemical reactions tend to follow the II law of thermodynamics.

According to the II law of thermodynamics, heat or energy is tend to be released from the system to the surrounding which means the gibb's free will be less than zero confirming the spontaneous occurring of a chemical reaction.

Thus the reactants' energy should be large compared to the products such that the extra energy can be released by them while forming the products.

So as in this case, the energy is dispersed to the surrounding, this means the reactant has higher chemical energy compared to the products.

Such kind of chemical reactions are also termed as exergonic process.
