If you lift a 200 newton box 1 meter with a rope and is the system and you apply 20 newtons to lift this box, what to mechanical advantage of the system? How far do you have pull the rope when you are applying the input force? If you do this work in 5 seconds, what is the power?

    1) mechanical advantage = 20 N / 200 N = 0.1

    2) rope length = 1m / mechanical advantage = 1/0.1 = 10m

    3) Work = force * distance traveled and it can be either 200N * 1m or 20N * 10m = 200 J
