a. How much energy is needed to raise the temperature of 2kg of water by 10C?

b. How much energy does the heater supply?

    The specific heat capacity of water is 4.179 J/gram or 4185.5 J/kg C a) Energy needed to raise the temperature of 2kg of water by 10C = 2 x 4185.5 x 10 = 83, 710J b) Energy = Power x time = 210 x 200 = 42 000J The heater supplies 42 000J of energy
