Q - Describe the direction, speed, and acceleration of an object moving with uniform circular motion.

A - An object moving in a circle still wants to move in a straight line. This straight-line motion is always at a tangent to the circle, so the speed of an object moving in a circle is known as tangential speed. In uniform circular motion, the speed remains constant while the direction of the object changes. This means the object experiences an acceleration toward the center of the circle, which is known as centripetal acceleration.

When an object moves in a circular path it is said to be moving in circular motion.

The speed of an object that is moving in circular motion is constant while its direction keeps on changing. The acceleration of an object is towards the center of the circle and it is known as the centripetal acceleration.

When an object is moving in a circular motion and released after some time, it will go tangentially.

An object moving in a circle wants to move in a straight line.

The motion of an object is tangent to the circle.

Tangential speed remains constant for an object with uniform circular motion.

Only the direction of the object changes, which means velocity is changing and the object is accelerating
