The time separating high tides is 12 hours and 25 minutes. A high tide occurs at 3:10 p. m. The next low tides occur at 9:30 AM and 9:00 PM the next day. True or False? Provide calculations.

    False. The next low tide would be half way between the high tides which makes it 6 hours and 12.5 minutes after the high tides. This means the first low tide would be at 9:22pm that day and the next one would be at 9:47am the next day.
