A 15 kg child experiences an acceleration of 0.25 m/s2 as she is pulled 1.7 m horizontally across the floor by her sister. what is the change in the child's kinetic energy?

    Is it the acceleration is 0.25 m/s^2because you didn't put anything. So supposing this is true.

    v^2 = u^2 + 2as v^2 = 0^2 + 2 (0.25) (1.7) v = 0.922 m/s

    K = 0.5 mv^2 K = 0.5 x 15 x 0.922 K = 6.915 J

    change in kinetic energy is computed by Wnett Wnett = 0.5mv^2 - 0.5mu^2 where = 0 Wnett = 6.915 J
