If the mass of a material is 50 grams and the volume of the material is 5 cm^3, what would the density of the material be?

    Density is always (mass) / (volume).

    For the piece of material you've got there, the density is

    (50 grams) / (5 cm^3).

    D = 50 / 5

    D = 10 g/cm^3
