Suppose you hold a 12-cm3 block of aluminum and a 2.0-cm3 block of brass in your two hands. Which block has more mass?

    The density of aluminum is 2.7 so the mass would be the density times the volume. 12*2.7=32.4 g.

    The density of brass is 8.4. 8.4*2=16.8 g.

    The aluminum block has a greater mass.
