The cross-section of a pipe has an area of 2.0 cm2. Calculate the flow rate (in grams per second) of a liquid with p=1.0 g/cm3 through the pipe if the flow speed is 42 cm/s.

    flow rate = velocity of fluid x area of cross section x density

    = 42 x 2 x 1 = 84 g/s
