How many types of quarks are there and what is the name of one of them

    Quarks are usually defined as sub-atomic particles that are combined with one another and results in the formation of hadrons, of which the protons and the neutrons. They are a little heavier than the electrons and have a size of about 10^-18 m.

    There are a total of 6 types of quarks, and they are as follows-

    Top quark Bottom quark Up quark Down quark Strange quark Charm quark

    The up-quark is commonly represented as u-quark, and it forms the lightest of all the quarks. It is one of the main constituents of matter. It occurs along with the down-quarks and forms the neutron.
