    impulse = - 1 kg m/s

    Explanation:

    Given

    mass = 0.5 kg

    initial velocity = 8 m/s

    final velocity=6 m/s

    Find

    impulse = ?

    Formula

    Impulse = F*t = m (final velovity) - m (Initial velocity)

    Solution

    impulse = 0.5kg (6 m/s) - 0.5kg (8 m/s)

    = 3 kg m/s - 4 kg m/s

    = - 1 kg m/s
