A car traveling at speed of 24 m/s comes to stop at the red light how much time will it take for the car to stop if its acceleration is - 8.0 M/S2

    Use this formula:

    final speed = initial speed + acceleration * time

    0 = 24 - 8*t, t = 3 s! The answer is 3 seconds
