How does a growing human population affect resource use?

    Generally speaking, as the human population grows, our consumption of natural resources increases. More humans consume more freshwater, more land, more clothing, etc. Scientific and technological innovations mean that we are improving our efficiency at using and harvesting natural resources.

    Well. As or if the human population grows, our consumption of natural resources increases. More & more people consume more freshwater, food, land (space), clothing, etc. Scientific and technological innovations mean that we are improving our efficiency at using and harvesting natural resources. But maybe in the future our food, water, natural, supplies and fresh water, will soon run out / decrease because of the human population & we will have no choice to move off of earth (not that I'm saying it will actually happen. It is a possibility.)
