A batter swings at a baseball. The action force is the bat hitting the ball with a force of 5N. What is the reaction force?

    According to Newtons third law the force of action has an equal and opposite reaction. So if the force of the bat hitting the ball is equal to 5 N, then reaction force of the ball has to be 5 N as well. So the correct answer is: the reaction force is equal to 5 N.
