2. Determine if work is being done on the objects in the following three situatios:

b. holding a stack of books motionless over your head

c. letting a pencil fall to the ground

3. Descride how a ramp can make lifting a box easier without changing the amount of work being done.

    2. In order for work to be done, force must be applied and the object must be moving in the same direction as the force.

    a. Yes

    b. No

    c. Yes

    3. Easier simply means applying less force. A ramp is longer than the hight of the lift but the force is less when using a ramp and so if you calculate how much work is being done in this case, it should be the same.
