If the acceleration was reduced 1/4 what will be the new force

    Acceleration is directly proportional to applied force. If the acceleration

    suddenly fell to 1/4 of its original value, that immediately tells you that

    the applied force must have dropped to 1/4 of its original value.

    BTW ... acceleration doesn't cause force. Force causes acceleration.
