    1.75 s

    11.4 m

    Explanation:

    In the y direction:

    Given:

    Δy = - 15.0 m

    v₀ = 0 m/s

    a = - 9.8 m/s²

    Find: t

    Δy = v₀ t + ½ at²

    -15.0 m = (0 m/s) t + ½ (-9.8 m/s²) t²

    t = 1.75 s

    In the x direction:

    Given:

    t = 1.75 s

    v₀ = 6.50 m/s

    a = 0 m/s²

    Find: Δx

    Δx = v₀ t + ½ at²

    Δx = (6.50 m/s) (1.75 s) + ½ (0 m/s²) (1.75 s) ²

    Δx = 11.4 m
