A bicycle is being ridden along a horizontal road by a 'pedal' force of 400N. It's speed is constant at 12 m/s the. What is the total value of the frictional forces acting on the bike and it's rider?

    Constant speed means there is no net forward force acting on the body. all the forward pedal force applied by the rider is countered by the frictional forces.

    therefore the total value of frictional forces is 400N
