These three crates are all 1 m off the ground. Which statement about the force of the Earth's gravity pulling on the crates is true?

    The formula for the force of the Earth's gravity is

    F = mg

    where m is the mass of the object and g is the acceleration due to gravity

    The value of g is a constant, therefore, the only value that would differ among the three crates is the mass. The greater the mass, the greater is the force of the pull of the gravity.
