    So,

    A high velocity might mean that you are traveling at 200 mph to the north.

    Low acceleration would mean that you wouldn't be changing direction much/slowing down/speeding up much.

    You are in the fastest car on earth, and you are traveling at a velocity of 200 mph to the north. After 10 minutes, you are traveling at a velocity of 198 mph to the north.

    You're sitting in a comfortable chair, reading a book or listening to some music

    with the buds, maybe starting to doze off ... in an airliner that's cruising smoothly

    at 500 miles per hour.
