The major problem with hydrogen as an alternative source of energy is that none exists on the surface of the earth. True or false?

    That statement is as false as false can be.

    Roughly 78% of the Earth's surface is covered by water,

    and Hydrogen is a major component of water.

    On the surface of the Earth, you really have to try hard

    to be far away from a cheap source of Hydrogen.

    Somewhere in the middle. Hydrogen does exist on Earth. But it is not common. It exists only in the thin sheets of water that covers 70% of Earth's surface
