    F = 150.00 N

    Explanation:

    Let F1 = 220 N, θ1 = 0° (on the x-axis)

    F2 = 150 N and θ2 = 30°

    Solution:

    For F1

    F1x = F1 cos θ = 220 N cos 0° = 220 N

    F1y = F1 sin θ = 220 N sin 0° = 0 N

    For F2

    F2x = F2 cos θ = 150 N cos 30° = 129.904 N

    F2y = F2 sin θ = 150 N sin 30° = 75 N

    Fx = F1x + F2x = 220 N + 129.904 N

    Fx = 349.904 N

    Fy = F1y + F2y = 0 N + 75 N = 75 N

    Now resultant vector formula

    F = square root (Fx² + Fy²)

    F = square root ((129.904 N) ² + (75N) ²)

    F=square root (22500.049)

    F = 150.00 N
