Measuring weight, that is, mass under gravity, is an obvious way to demonstrate how available tools can affect the precision of a measurement. If you had access to a bathroom scale, you would not effectively be able to measure 7 grams of yeast to make a loaf of bread, as the scale is not precise enough. It can, however, easily differentiate the weight of a 78-kilogram male and a 65-kilogram female. The scale is precise enough for higher masses, but not precise enough for the small amounts of yeast needed to make a good loaf of bread.
