What is the tendency for an object to resist any change in its motion called?

    Inertia.

    inertia means - the tendancy of an object to resist any changes in it's velocity or motion unless acted upon by an unbalanced force (i. e you pushing a golf cart, even though it is heavy, with enough force you can move it)
