A block slides down a frictionless inclined ramp. If the ramp angle is 12° and its length is 10 m, find the speed of the block as it reaches the bottom of the ramp, assuming it started sliding from rest at the top.

    The gravitational force along the incline ramp = m g sinθ

    Lets take a is the acceleration of the block along the ramp

    m a = m g sinθ

    a = g sinθ

    The equation of motion along the incline plane

    Lets take final speed = v m/s

    Initial speed u = 0 m/s

    v² = v² + 2 a L

    v² = 2 x g sinθ x L

    v² = 2 x 10 x sin12° x 10 (take g = 10 m/s²)

    v² = 41.58

    v = 6.44 m/s
