How do you Isolate the Variable: t. In the equation Vf = Vi + a*t?

    Subtract Vi from both the right and left hand sides of the equation to get:

    Vf - Vi = a*t.

    Now divide both the left and right hand sides by a, we have:

    Vf/a - Vi/a = t. t has been isolated:

    t = Vf/a - Vi/a
