If a 2.00kg ball is thrown straight upward and its maximum height is 25.51. what is the value of KE?

    At the maximum height, KE = 0 J

    As the object returns, KE = PE = 500J

    Explanation:

    At the maximum height, the object momentarily stops, which means that the velocity at the maximum height is zero, i. e. v = 0

    Since Kinetic Energy is give by:

    KE = 0.5 mv^2

    KE = 0.5 * 2 * 0

    KE = 0 (at Max height)

    However at the peak, the PE = mgh

    PE = 2 * 9.8 * 25.51

    PE = 500 J

    As the object returns back to the ground, the Potential Energy is transformed to kinetic energy, which means that, KE = PE = 500J
