A 1 kg ball is thrown into the air with an initial velocity of 30 m/s. How much kinetic energy does the ball have?

    Kinetic Energy = (1/2) mv²

    m = 1kg, v = 30m/s

    Kinetic Energy = (1/2) * 1 * 30 * 30 = 450 J
