    Positive work on the mass

    Explanation:

    Given that,

    The mass of the object, m = 1 Kg

    The work done by a body is given defined as the product of force acting on the body to the magnitude of displacement.

    It is given by the equation

    W = F x S

    If a person carries a weight of 1 Kg and running up the stairs, the person is doing work against the gravitational attractive force. If the person is running down the stairs, that person will be doing works towards the attractive forces.

    The work done against the attractive force is positive and the work done towards the attractive force is always taken as negative.

    Hence, if I carry the 1 kg mass with me while running up the stairs would be doing positive work.
